MASTODON: 'Festival' Version Of 'Leviathan' Now Available
August 6, 2005A limited edition "festival version" of MASTODON's award-winning album "Leviathan" is available now via Relapse Records. The unique version of the much-talked-about album is housed within a special slipcase that features alternate album art. The enhanced CD also contains the MASTODON music videos "Iron Tusk" and "Blood and Thunder".
MASTODON's recent live performances as part of the 2005 Ozzfest tour have met to widespread fan and critical acclaim, with the band continuing to make waves in the national media and thousands of new fans along its tour path. The band is pairing up with IRON MAIDEN and ROB ZOMBIE on select "off fest" dates along the Ozzfest trail.
As previously reported, MASTODON will be featured guests on the special "Ozzfest Second Stage" edition of the nationally syndicated radio show "Rockline" on Monday, August 8. The live show begins at 8:30 p.m. PT / 11:30 p.m. ET, and fans are encouraged to call in with questions during the program at (800) 344-ROCK (7625). MASTODON drummer Bränn Dailor recently told MTV.com that the band have been "collecting riffs and accepting ideas as they come" while on the road during this summer's Ozzfest. MASTODON plan to take a few weeks off this September before hitting the studio, where they'll "dump those ideas out and start putting it all together. We've got a lot of good ideas." Dailor said the band hope to release their Warner Bros. debut next summer.
